The Reality Check: Dealing with Local Authorities (LAs) and schools can feel like playing a game where they hold the rulebook and you are left completely in the dark. If you are tired of polite emails being ignored, missed statutory deadlines, and wobbly plans that do not protect your child, it is time to stop guessing and start executing.
EHCP 360 is not an academic lecture series or a heavy legal textbook. It is an intensive, live, cohort-based training programme designed specifically for parents/ carers of children and young people with SEND who live in England. Led by an expert independent SEND consultant who has successfully managed hundreds of family cases (including 2 in her own family), this course transforms you from an overwhelmed parent into an unassailable advocate.
We do not sell individual modules because the system relies on you missing the bigger picture. We take you on an end-to-end operational journey in 40 hours spread over 12 separate days - combining deep legal theory with live practical sessions, where you can choose to work directly on your own child’s paperwork*.

Module 1: A Route to an EHCP
Stop letting the council use extra-legal internal policies to block your child from getting assessed. Master the exact statutory thresholds needed to kickstart the process with total confidence.
The Blueprint: Deconstruct the predictive "double may" legal test under Section 36(8) and uncover hidden, unidentified needs.
The Practical Lab: Draft and finalise a submission-ready, legally grounded parental EHC Needs Assessment (EHCNA) request.
Module 2: An EHCP Has Been Issued...
A draft plan full of vague, pleasant-sounding words is a trap. Learn how to audit your draft text line-by-line to lock in legally binding support.
The Blueprint: Master the exact legal functions of Sections B, E, and F, and identify the "forbidden vocabulary" used to let schools off the hook.
The Practical Lab: Build a flawless, colour-coded Needs-Provision matrix to weave an unbreakable "Golden Thread" through your child's draft plan.
Module 3: (Not Always) Happy Ever After!
Demystify the First-tier Tribunal (SENDIST) appeal process and learn how to build an unassailable court case.
The Blueprint: Deep dive into appealing Refusal to Assess, Refusal to Issue, Section I (placement), Sections B and F (content), and managing dynamic negotiations.
The Practical Lab: Format and draft your formal, fact-backed "Reasons for Appeal" document using elite advocacy strategies.
Module 4: (Un)fair Play and What to Do About It
When the Local Authority breaks the law, misses deadlines, or drops provision, you need an immediate legal trigger to force compliance.
The Blueprint: Unpack the top administrative violations committed by LAs, and master the escalation routes between the Local Government Ombudsman (LGO) and Judicial Review pathways.
The Practical Lab: Follow an elite template to draft your own high-impact Pre-Action Protocol (PAP) letter that targets the LA's legal team for swift resolution.

Work on Your Own Documents: In our small-group practical labs, you don't have to review generic case studies. Subject to pre-approval, you can apply the law directly to your child's reports and drafts.
Strictly Limited Cohorts: To ensure every parent gets maximum eyes on their documents, cohorts are strictly capped at a maximum of 15 participants.

Meet Your Instructor: Karolina Kalisz
Karolina is an Independent SEND Consultant and the founder of Heal the Word Ltd. She lives and breathes SEND law. As a qualified teacher for England and Wales since 2014, a trained Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, currently training as a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, and a parent of two young people who have progressed through the EHCP system, she understands the emotional toll of advocacy from all sides of the table.
Karolina is IPSEA SEND Law Levels 1-3 trained and currently supports about 120 families, representing parents in approximately 30 active Tribunal appeals at any given time. She has maintained an excellent track record of success against unlawful council practices.
